What is the most important lesson you have learnt in the industry?
Always be true to yourself and operate with absolute integrity.

What is the most important skill or quality one should possess to make it in the fashion and retail industry?
Confidence and the ability to think out of the box.

What is the biggest no-no in the fashion industry?
Not to care about how you look and what others think. This is an industry that lends itself to gossip, talk and social pages, it goes with the territory, but never forget that you are the single most important influence you will ever have on yourself.

Please offer one survival tip for making it in the fashion industry.
Confidence and belief in your decisions. Never rush into making rash decisions, sleep on them first, and wake up with a clear view and knowing that decision is the best one to make.

What is your power perspective?
It does not matter how small the contribution, make it anyway, it makes a difference. Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. Then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who come alive.
