Harry Potter e-book website unveiled
Harry Potter author, JK Rowling, recently unveiled a new interactive website to coincide with the release of the last instalment of the Harry Potter film franchise. Called The Pottermore Project, the site is a platform where the entire Harry Potter series can be accessed in e-book and audio book formats. Rowling will also include new material for download on the sites. Pottermore will be the only retailer able to sell the Harry Potter e-books. “For me, this is such a great way to give something back to Harry Potter fans who made the books such in incredible success.” Rowling said. “This is way for Harry Potter to live on in a medium that didn’t exist when I started writing the books.” This venture is set to rake in even more millions for Rowling, as she retained the rights to the digital sales. The site, www.pottermore.com, will be open to the public in October 2011.

SA Actress in True Blood
It was recently announced that Durban-born Nondumiso Tembe will have a recurring role in the popular vampire series True Blood. She will portray a French-speaking supernatural, but we’ll have to wait and see what exactly that means! Tembe spent her formative years in New York City while her parents studied music at the prestigious Juilliard School. Her family returned to SA when she was 10. She then moved back to New York to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and followed this with a Master’s degree in acting from Yale. Having just released her debut album, Izwi Lami, 2011 is proving to be a phenomenal year for Tembe.
