To many, it may seem that she has it all. Her husband is the president of the one of the most powerful countries in the world, she has had a successful career as a lawyer, she is a mother to two beautiful girls and to top it off she's known for her style.
Michelle Obama may seem to have the world at her feet but if she had things her way she’d swap her First Lady status to be singer Beyoncé. Obama told People magazine that she admired Beyoncé. She said the chart-topping singer was a role model for the youth and she was proud to have her daughters look up to such a powerful woman.
"It looks like musicians just have the most fun," she told People.
Obama attended Beyoncé’s first concert at Revel resorts in Atlantic City, Georgia. A guest of honour, Obama was given a prime seat and enjoyed the show with her daughters. According to www.wset.com Obama was given a warm reception from fellow concert-goers who cheered her on as she made her way to her seat. The two have grown close over the past few months since Beyoncé wrote a "love letter" to Obama detailing her adoration of her.
This interesting revelation came about during Obama’s promotion of her new book titled American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens across America.
In it Obama discusses a variety of recipes including her favourite dishes, personal history and White House trivia. However, the book is mainly focused on the growing and cooking of nutritious food. Obama has led a fitness campaign across the USA to get people to eat healthily and to exercise.
"It turned out exactly as I envisioned. It's a beautiful book, wonderful pictures. It is definitely a passion. Getting the kids in our country to eat healthy," Obama added. "This book is a way to talk about our journey to better health," Obama said on ABC's Good Morning America.
