The next Open for Business festival is set to take place in Alexandra, Johannesburg, on 6 October and follows hot on the heels of the successful first one held in Katlehong on 8 September.
The series will culminate in a flagship event in Soweto on 3 November. To participate, small businesses can book a stand for R100, half of which will be given to a business chosen on the day for its use of innovation, outstanding business idea or just pure tenacity of being an entrepreneur.
This same business owner will be invited to join the Branson Centre's next foundation training course free of charge.
Existing Branson Centre entrepreneurs will be present at the events to mentor, guide and share their own experiences with participating business owners.
With sufficient community and entrepreneurial support, Open for Business will likely grow into an annual event.
