Style maven: Zovuyo Msutwana

29-year-old entrepreneur Msutwana describes her style as simple and sophisticated with a sexy flair

Msutwana is the epitome of beauty, brains and impeccable style. Commonly known as Zoe, she is the founder of PR agency Mode Brand Studio.

Msutwana says being an entrepreneur has been an eye-opening and challenging journey. “I never expected so much growth from deciding to become an entrepreneur. I’ve never cried so much in my life, but it was all worth it,” she says.

She says through owning her own company, which she started earlier this year, she has become more confident. “There’s no boardroom that can intimidate me,” she says.

What’s the difference between style and fashion?

Style can’t be bought, you’re born with it. There are lots of people who are wealthy and buy fashion items, but they can’t put together combinations that work. Fashion is about  current trends that are out there. I try not to be fashionable, but rather stylish.

What three items can’t you live without?

A leather jacket, LBD (little black dress) and a pair of high-waisted shorts.

Who is your style inspiration?

“I’m not a one-dimensional woman, so I draw my inspiration from several women.

  • Victoria Beckham for her simplicity and elegance
  • Kim Kardashian for the sexy nature of her style
  • Blake Lively for her quirky girly style

If you could choose a celebrity closet to shop in, whose would it be?

Bonang Matheba. She has the best accessories and shoes. Internationally, I’d definitely dig in Kylie Jenner’s closet. I’d especially invade it for her sneakers because I don’t own a lot of sneakers.

What beauty products should every woman have?

Sunscreen, a brow kit and a nude lipstick.

What items are you rocking this December?

Definitely an off-shoulder, whether it’s a dress or top. I also love floral prints, so I’ll be rocking florals as well. Lastly, white items because I’ll be on the coast this season.

What five items should every women invest in?

A nude handbag, a pair of strappy heels, a leather jacket, a crisp white shirt (I’m still in search of the perfect one myself) and a baby doll dress.
