Trevor Noah is coming to South Africa for two nights

As part of his newest comedy tour, Trevor Noah will be coming to South Africa to give us a taste of his latest stand-up comedy show

South African comedian Trevor Noah, comedy’s very own Charlize Theron, has made a huge success of himself globally after taking the reins as the host of American comedy news show The Daily Show.

Now, the big shot funnyman will be coming back home to bring us his latest stand-up comedy show as part of his comedy tour. The Daywalker star announced the news in a video on Comedy Central’s Twitter account detailing that he would be doing his show on 10 and 11 August at the Ticketpro Dome.

“I am coming back home to do a show – not because Donald Trump has kicked me out, but because I would like to do a show for you at the TicketPro Dome on 10 and 11 August. New jokes, new show, new guests – see you there,” Noah said.

It’s reported that this came about as a result of a partnership with Comedy Central and the Daily Show.

While it’s still only the first quarter of the year, Noah has already had a great year. Just last week, he received two awards from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for Debut Author and Outstanding Literary Work for his debut book Born A Crime.

“Oh what a night. You meet the most Grammy Awarded Artist aline, Mr Quincy Jones, and he tells you he’s a fan of your comedy. I laughed and said he’s being polite, he replied ‘I’m too old to bulls**t’,” Noah wrote in a caption on Instagram about his award-winning evening.

The awards he received were just another addition to his already glowing list of achievements the comedian has received for his book. Just weeks after the book was released in November, it made it onto the New York Times’ Best Seller list, and the audio version of the book went on to become a bestseller on Audible, Amazon‘s audio book portal.

Tickets for his South Africa show will be available as of 20 February on Ticketpro.
