There are few things we women hate more than cellulite. And what’s even more depressing is that it’s not easy to get rid of it.

Cellulite is a build-up of fatty acids under the skin that causes it to have a bumpy, dimple appearance. There are numerous causes for cellulite, but when it comes down to prevention or getting rid of it, there is no better way than good, old-fashioned exercise to burn away the fat. However, exercise alone isn’t enough – you need to also watch your diet and change your lifestyle, reports CNN.

  • Lunges 

Stand with your legs slightly apart and toes pointed forward. Then take one large step forward and lower your body so your knees form a 90° angle. Make sure the front knee is over the ankle. Return to thestarting position and switch sides. CNN recommends aiming for 30-50 lunges for each leg.

  • Squats

A few squats a day will help reduce your cellulite. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding your arms out and above in a ‘Y’ formation at all times. Keep your abs tight and your back “switched on” with your shoulders relaxed and squarely over your hips. Sit back as if you were going to sit on a bench. Then stand up, straightening your legs, and repeat.

  • Step-ups

To do this properly, you need an an aerobic step or a platform like a bench. WebMD advises keeping your chest out and back straight. Step up on the bench with one leg, then elevate the other leg at 90°,while the other one is on the bench.
