President Cyril Ramaphosa's surprise appearance at the 24th SA Music Awards (SAMAs) threatened to steal the show, but at the end of the day it was all about the fashion and the music

The SAMAs were certainly a glitzy affair with the cream of SA’s crop, including the first citizen himself, attending the biggest annual event on the music industry calendar, held at Sun City on Saturday night.

Ramaphosa played a central role to proceedings, opening the awards ceremony and presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to three heavyweight recipients, Dr Mbongeni Ngema, Steve Kekaha and Spokes H.
