FHM model Jessica Leandra dos Santos dropped the "K" bomb in a racist tweet.

SA model and Quick Trim ambassador Jessica Leandra dos Santos has caused fury on Twitter after posting a derogatory tweet which included the "K" word. Last night, 3 May 2012, apparently after an incident with a person at Spar, Dos Santos tweeted:

“Just, well took on a on arrogant and disrespectful k****r inside Spar. Should have punched him, should have.”

Not quite realising the full extent of her slur, Dos Santos responded to outraged and stunned followers with the following:

“@Hypress @jesslevitt Tweeted with anger after an incident last night. Forget it pls, I don't stand still against sexual harassment, thats all.”

And later with:

“Would u all stop! These are the kinds of people that land up raping young girls of our country! I wasn't going to let him get away with it.”

Some of the responses from outraged tweeters include:

@Mpum_mpum @JoziGoddess Because the only people that rape are black, right? "K****rs" as she calls them.

@chiefntshingila The thing with words, is we use the words we are familiar with. Which to me says she is familiar with the word 'k****r' @jessicaleandra

@JoziGoddess: Miss @JessicaLeandra is also the brand ambassador for Quick Trim. Kim K wont like this anti-blackness.

@DeepFriedMan Dilemma of the day: How do I unfollow @JessicaLeandra if I'm not following her in the first place?

@paulyberk You can fight abuse of women with the judicious use of the word 'k****r'. Like a superpower. Just ask this FHM poppie @jessicaleandra

According to a recent tweet by journalist Mandy Wiener, columnist and activist Mabine Seabe has confirmed he's laid a complaint against the FHM model. FHM and Quick Trim have since severed all ties with her and she has been stripped of her title as winner of the FHM Modelbook 2011 competition with immediate effect.

Not many people realise it, but social network users could be imprisoned for defamatory updates and comments on sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This includes racist comments. Using the "K" word in a defamatory manner in the work place is also a fireable offence.
