Draw attention to your eyes this weekend by rocking long and thick lashes

Many leading Hollywood ladies rock false eyelashes and this trend has also been seen at international fashion shows. It's the perfect look to wear when going out, since it really adds so much glamour to any look. There are a huge variety of false lashes available, from subtle to dramatic. Follow our five easy steps to create this hot look:

Step 1: Select your lashes
There are a huge selection to choose from when buying lashes. You can either choose clusters of individual lashes or full false lashes. Depending on the lashes you choose, you can either go for a more natural effect or go very glamorous with dramatic lashes.

Step 2: Apply adhesive
When applying individual lashes, squeeze out a drop of lash adhesive on a hard surface, like the outside of the case the lashes came in. Allow the glue to dry for a few seconds, until it becomes slightly tacky. Hold the lash tip with tweezers and dip the roots of the false eyelashes in the adhesive.
For a full band of lashes, apply the glue directly onto the lash strip but also allow the glue to dry slightly before applying it to your lash line.

Step 3: Stick it on
Attach the individual lashes between your natural lashes, as close as possible to the lash line and hold it in place for a few seconds. Wedge in three or four clusters of lashes from the outer corner toward the middle and always steer clear of the inner corners. Apply the full strip of lashes by placing it gently onto the natural lash line and pushing it slightly down onto your natural lashes. Hold both corners down for a few seconds to ensure it settles well. When you open your eyes, the false lashes must be positioned on top of your natural lashes with no space between them.

Step 4: Final touches
Once the lashes have set properly, draw a thin line of black liquid liner over the top lash line. This will cover up any bits of glue that might still be visible and make your fake lashes blend in better with your natural lashes. Finally, finish off this look by applying a few coats of mascara. This will blend the false lashes with your natural eyelashes.

Step 5: Final tip
To remove your fake eyelashes, simply wet the lashes with a little water or an oil-based make-up remover. This will soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove.
