Does your make-up only do duty till lunch? Here are quick tips on how to refresh
Most people, especially those with slightly oilier skins, feel that their make-up has faded, worn off or smeared by mid-afternoon. Of course, the ideal situation would be to go home, wash your face and reapply your make-up, but since that’s not a very realistic option, we have some tips to keep your face looking fresh.
Start your day with your usual cleansing routine. When you apply your make-up, remember less is more, especially where foundation is concerned. You will look more natural and your touch-up will be easier.
For a mid-day touch-up, invest in blotting tissues. These great little papers remove oil from your face and make it easier to reapply your make-up.
Remove your lipstick using a make-up or baby wipe. You will be reapplying it as your final step.
Sprits your face using a water mist or toning spray, which brings the skin back to life.
Next, use a brush or sponge to even out your remaining foundation. You can apply a light coat where needed.
Touch up your blush – remember to keep it light.
Gently remove any smudges from around your eyes, but don’t reapply your mascara as this can make lashes look clumpy.
Reapply your lipstick.
