Artist Napo Masheane has successfully made a living out of her craft.
She is a poet, scriptwriter, director, producer, actress and the Managing Director of Village Gossip Productions. Masheane has done what very few artists have done and that’s to create a successful business using her own talents and skills. She has produced a number of successful stage shows, such as My Bum is Genetic, Deal With It, Mollo and Fat Black Women Sing, and is also a self-published author of two anthologies, Caves Speak In Metaphors and Fat Songs For My Girlfriends. Masheane chats to us about what it means to be a businesswoman and an artist in South Africa.
