Former Destiny Man cover star snags directorship at reputable record company.

Randall Abrahams has been appointed the managing director of international record company Universal SA. This was announced today by president of the Nordic, Central and Eastern Europe Universal Music Group International, Vico Antippas who said he was impressed by Abraham’s extensive experience and contacts in the entertainment industry.

"There is no one better suited to take Universal Music South Africa into the future.”
Abrahams will take over from Harry Voerman, who is heading for retirement after 20 years at the helm of the company.

On his appointment, Abrahams said he looked forward to joining the Universal music team. "During my time in the entertainment industry, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with many talented personalities and I’ve always tried to stay in tune with the needs of the audience. I hope both these attributes stand me in good stead and I’m looking forward to working with the Universal team and artist roster to produce great music and reach new audiences."

Abrahams has served in several influential roles within the music industry. He is a judge on Idols SA, CEO of the Sama awards and was strategic in successfully changing several major radio stations. He has served on the board of the Advertising Authority SA and was the chairperson of the National Broadcasting Association of SA.
