The Essence Music festival is one of the USA's biggest R&B concerts.
The Essence Music Festival takes place on an annual basis and brings together the most loved old-school musos and the hottest new acts in R&B.
This year the festival took place at the Louisiana Superdome, the USA, from 7 - 8 July. It featured the likes of Charlie Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Mary J. Blige, while D' Angelo solidified his comeback with a promising performance. R&B greats Dru Hill and Carl Thomas took the stage to perform a medley of their hits. Other artists who performed were Melanie Fiona, Luke James, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson and Monifah Carter.
