Here is our pick of favourite make-up trends for spring 2012.

From bright lips to dark smoky eyes, spring 2012 make-up trends offer something for everyone, so pick your favourite look and make it uniquely yours. Here are some of the trends we love.

Retro eyes
The 60s-inspired cat eyes at the Dolce & Gabbana spring 2012 fashion show looked very sexy and fresh. This look is created by drawing a liquid line on the top lash line and ending it off at the corners of the eyes with a little flick.

Bold brows
Bold eyebrows were the highlight at the Derek Lam spring 2012 fashion show. The eyebrows were kept full, darkened with shadow and brushed upwards. This look is dramatic and powerful – perfect for us strong women.

Soft and silvery
At the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2012 fashion show (see our slideshow for images), models wore beautiful soft silvery blue eyeshadow. The colour is applied all over the eyes, from the lashes to the brows. This is a very minimalistic look and the rest of the make-up is kept natural.

Red lips
We always love a red lip, since it is such an iconic colour and makes us feel instantly glamorous. At the Christian Dior spring 2012 fashion show, bright reds were the focus, while more coral tones were seen at the Rick Owens spring 2012 fashion show.
