The A-line shape has made a major comeback from its glory days in the 1950s. Here's a modern twist on this classic style.
For day: The conventional A-line was a below-the-knee frock worn by conservative women in the 50s. But the contemporary take on this trend sees a more trendy and playful style. Try a cute, short A-line skirt this summer in an array of prints and colours. If you're looking for something slightly more traditional, go with a longer option, but still keep it light and playful.
For night: An A-line dress is a great summer trend. The military trend is hot at the moment, so match an A-line shirt dress in army green with a pair of thick-soled heels or clogs. Or channel a new take on the trend by pairing a mini A-line skirt with opaque stocking and high heels.
STYLE TIP: Complement the A-line skirt with a fitted top (bodysuits are in this summer) and cinch in the waist with a cute belt for a curvy, womanly shape.
