Join some of the Youth Day celebrations happening around the country.

1. Cheesekids Youth Day Event: March to Work
Where:
Morrison Isaacson High School, Johannesburg

Cheesekids are a group of young people who give of their time to help underprivileged communities. This Youth Day, the public are asked to gather at Morrison Isaacson High School at 6am to march to the Hector Peterson Museum. Volunteers will then give of their time to help beautify some of the schools along this walk.

2. LoveAll’s Youth Day party

LoveAll is hosting a tennis-themed Youth Day party at The Assembly on Saturday, 16 June 2012. The music will range from hip-hop to drum ’n bass and deep house. The line-up includes DeSmidt, Travis, Abrahams, Schenck, Jaga, Fakier, Eswift and guest DJs. Tickets: R60 at the door.

3. Trail Run & Fun Walk

The Durban Green Corridor and Single Track Minded have organised a fun walk at Inanda Dam to celebrate Youth Day this Saturday. There’s a 5km and 10km run/walk and, for the more energetic, a 21km run, along a route of beautiful scenery. Registration and race day entries will take place from 6.30-8-30am, with the race starting at 9am.
