Fashion retailer Topshop presented a unique interpretation of high street fashion with their AW13 Topshop Unique Catwalk Show collection at London Fashion Week recently.
The much anticipated AW13 Topshop Unique Catwalk Show collection, which was launched at the Topshop Showspace in London on Sunday, 17 February, paid tribute to 90s Brit pop with its loose-fitting and oversized silhouettes.
Opposites are thrown together, contrasting textures are used and proportions are played with within the range which makes reference to "real England" and iconic workwear pieces.
Contrasts include matte paired with glossy PVC and sequins with fuzzy textures in a soft colour palette of cream, white, camel and grey, accentuated with scarlet, candy floss pink and Wedgewood blue.
The prints were inspired by traditional British carpets and wallpaper found in a typical Victorian pub – the regular hang-out of the British working-class.
These are then digitised, enlarged and superimposed onto knits and bonded fabric.
The range will be available in store later this year.
