Matthew Mansoor, TRESemmé South Africa hair stylist, shares his tips with us.
Cold weather can play havoc with our hair, leaving it dry and damaged. Preventative measures can keep your hair hydrated and moisturised, leaving it looking healthy and radiant. Matthew Mansoor, TRESemmé South Africa hair stylist, offers advice on how to prevent dryness and hair breakage.
Tip 1: Dry shampoo
Wash your hair every second to third day. For those in-between days, use a dry shampoo. TRESemmé Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo (R63) leaves hair feeling fresh and revitalised, without the dryness of excessive shampooing.
Tip 2: Moisturising shampoo and conditioner
When washing your hair, use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner. This will help to restore your hair’s moisture and strength.
Tip 3: Moisturising treatment
Apply a moisturising treatment to your hair at least once a week. TRESemmé Protect Deep Conditioning Treatment (R63) enriches hair with vitamins to protect it from split ends and breakage.
Tip 4: Heat protectant spray
When heat styling, use a product that helps to protect your hair from heat damage. This will reduce breakage and add healthy shine to your hair.
Tip 5: Get creative
Add style with a fashionable warm hat or beanie, but make sure it’s not too tight, as it could prevent blood circulation to the scalp.
