Celebrate your skin with Vaseline!
So I am part of the Celebrate Naturally Glowing Skin campaign, with Vaseline and Destiny Magazine. When I was first approached to do this, I thought to myself: "Really? Have these people seen my skin?" Look, it's not terrible, not on any level, but it doesn't resemble Beyonce's, Naomi's or Geri Rantseli Elsdon's, so my first thought was that perhaps Vaseline should have approached these ladies. But they didn't - they asked me!

I wasn't going down without an attempt, though, so I started moisturising more and did Bikram yoga because I heard it does wonders for your skin. I am a huge water-drinker anyway, so that wasn't a big thing to change. The most important thing for me was sleeping more -- I'm an insomniac and really struggle to sleep, but as I started implementing all these beneficial changes, sleep came naturally, so did my natural glow.

I also realised that the glow did not come because of the changes I made, but because the changes made me happy, so the first thing you need to do to find your inner glow is to find what makes you happy and do it! I figure if listening to your favourite CD 10 times a day makes you happy, then you will glow.

I can't wait to hear all the testimonials about your skin, even if you and your skin are not on talking terms right now, that does happen -- I still have the tan from cycling The Argus!

All Love,
Anele

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! Congratulations on cycling the Argus! You do not have to be beyonce or any other international celebrity to have beautiful skin. Maybe your skin is way beautiful than most admired international celebrities - You deserve and enjoy what comes with it, without regret....

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! Being the owner of a Health and Beauty Spa, I have learned that the secret to healthy, glowing skin is veggies and water, and staying away from sugar and taking more herbal teas I have teas that will make you skin glow even in the dar. :-) trust me you won't go wrong. I am a living testimony.

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! Well my skin and I seriously not getting along. I'm covered in marks that just wont go away! I've got persistent blackheads, (which I pop), these then leave black spots on my face. And, recently went on a rock climbing/jumping "adventure" with my friends and have now got scratches on my legs and thighs. And to top it all off....I live on a farm, and my mom's cat decided to infest my bed with flies, without my knowledge, resulting in waking up with parts of my body covered in itchy bites. And i'm allergic to insect bites! But i'm fighting back!! With tissue old, scrubs, moisturiser, vitamin E, you name it! This year definately has started as a bad skin year for me, but watch out december!!!

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! You know iv had such a roller coaster with my face! All the expensive facials u can think of....been there, done that, got a t-shirt ! but nothing worked, until one day i tried the vaseline cocoa-butter, & safe to say, 1week later, my face started stabilizing, no more pimple surprises on my face & now 2months of using the product, i only wish i had known earlier, & i would have saved my face of all the blemishes that it has. Now i don’t have to worry about an expensive budget for my face, & better still i use it for my body as well, come winter, summer spring or fall, I’m best friends with Vaseline Cocoa-butter, for life!!

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! WOW! Congrats on doing the Argus girl, that must have been very empowering!! I've always been a Vaseline-Brand fan. I suffer from a bit of dryskin in winter and so I use Moisture Intense and then when summer comes I switch over to a lighter product but still within the range. My boyfriend absolutely loves loves loves my skin. He thinks it is simply beautiful!

I'v never really had extremely bad skin and even now I have to say it looks pretty ok, however I default on thing!! Water!! I hate drinking water, it's always a constant challenge for me to drink water! So I'm sure if I can drink a bit more water, eat more healthy, and work out a bit more I should be able to get my skin in optimal condition!

You only have one skin to live in right??!!

# re: Celebrate your skin with Vaseline! Nice one, Anele. i love the fact that u say '...glow did not come because of the changes I made, but because the changes made me happy...' I think thats an underlying truth that all women (and men) should know and understand. sure, anyone can change their ''tendencies'' (if u will) but that doesn't always equate itself to the promise of 'glow(ing)'. it doesn't take a 'Beyonce' to rep an awesome brand, what it takes tho is some1 with a radiant personality (hence: Anele!! hehe). i'm sooo glad ur part of the campaign. keeo glowing girl **
