Keeping a journal

When I was pregnant with my baby and really had no one to confide in, a very close friend of mine told me that maybe I should keep a journal and I must say that really helped because I wrote down everything I was feeling during those lonely,emotional times(most woman would agree with me here, that the time when you are supposed to be happiest because you are carrying a human being inside of you, someone is busy making your life so difficult that you feel you can't move on).

 

I went home for the weekend and guess what, I took out my journal and yesterday I started reading it (it is now 3 years old), OMG (oh my God) I coulnd't beleive that I went through so much in such a short space of time and I CONQURED yes I did it, I went through a lonely pregnancy and survived it. It's crazy how one thinks they can't get through a situation when you in it but when you look back you have actually gotten out of it. The crux of the matter here is that we are stronger than we actually think, we are quick to loose hope forgeting that there is a BIGGER POWER looking over us that will always be there no matter what. As I was reading that journal I thought to myself WOW,I have grown so much from my experiences and actually nothing can stop me now, it brought so much joy to me that I overcame everything that went on a that time and I'm still here and am somewhat a better person.

The stories my grandma(she passed away early last year) told me are all there in black and white even the fights and crazy thoughts about my ex iyoh so much was happening in my life and I have it all jotted down.

So if you think you can't face your life anymore, jott it down in a journal and re-visit the pages a year or so later and you will see/even laugh it all off cause the power we all have is beyond comprehension, we really need to start giving ourselves credit and not be too harsh on oneself...

I'm starting to write again as it brought so much comfort in my life.....
