For all Women and Men...I met through Destiny!
Destiny Friends, it’s been a good 7 months journey with the Destiny Brand. I have been blogging and attending workshops and have met great phenomenal women and men. This note is to the many women and men who have been part of my Brand. Masithokoze Inc. I took 30 minutes from my busy schedule today to do my weekly reflections, on the agenda was my Destiny, Integrity and My role in Life. Yesterday evening I received this note from my Personal and Professional Coach (Dr. Dumisani Magadlela). THE MESSAGE LEFT ME NUMB. I have always advocated for the elements in this note but as hard as it is, there are moments when I want to ‘throw the towel’, give up and run to Zanzibar to live happily ever after! Tears started streaming down my face when I realized I am also the cause of pain and distraction in my Destiny by holding back. I took a big breath and thought. Life! I asked my mind to disengage with the reflections as this message cuts so deep and was left overwhelmed; asking the universe to take control…

Take a good read…

Go calmly amid the noise and haste,

And remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender, be in good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others,

Even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter,

For always there will be seemingly greater and lesser persons than you

There will only always be one you

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Stay interested in your own career-

However humble, it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,

For the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is.

Many persons strive for high ideals,

And everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection, neither be cynical about love.

For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,

It is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the council of the years,

Gracefully surrendering the things of the youth

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune,

But to not distress yourself with imaginings-

Many fears are borne of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive HIM to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life,

Keep peace with your soul. Your real ‘enemy’ is in the mirror…

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be careful. Strive to be happy.  Live with love. Always be humble, and do not speak badly about the next person. For you do not know what is in their heart.

So difficult at times but will do my best to live by these principles that speak to my fundamental ethics.

# re: For all the Women I met through Destiny Wow thank you very much for these inspiring words, I really needed to hear them. I was just talking to my collegue and telling her that I want to be somwhere else but here, somewhere were no one knows me and just be...and she gave me great advice and said I should go on a holiday alone (which I am dreading being alone)but I think I need that, yes im planning for a holiday but not alone. These words just confirmed tome that I need me I need to be one with my thoughts and silence is axactly what I need.

Thank you for such wonderful words.

# re: For all the Women I met through Destiny This note has definately left a mark Masi, particularly when he states " stay interested in your career"...This has become a very scatchy area of my life, my idea and maybe naive, idea of a career is one that comes naturally and leave one fulfilled, i find myself "working" and "working" and gradually losing myself in attempts to proving my worth to this world... This note is my reminder to be myself, to be humble in this competitive society and my work will prove itself, and maybe then the world will acknowledge my efforts !!!

Thanks for the note Masi!...Am truly grateful to have you in my life.

# re: For all the Women I met through Destiny Hi Masi,

I am honoured that I count as one of those women. Thank you.

Yes these words are truly profound - Desiderata by Max Ehrmann, (1927).

When I was still working on improving the way I felt about myself, and had an off day, I could just put my cd in the cd player and my spirits were lifted in an instant.

Always get gooseflesh when I listen to it, especially the chorus where he says: "You are a child of the universe. No less than the trees and the stars. You have the right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you - no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."

Thanks.
Andeline.

# re: For all Women and Men...I met through Destiny! Again thank you Masithoko, you are such an inspiration to me and as well the rest of the women in the Destiny Connection. I truly love your work and as I constanly say to the people, you have lived by your name and that makes me proud because not many young women as you are live as an example to the citizen of South Africa. Keep on doing to what you do and may god bless you through your entire life and hopefully we will be doing great things together.

Much love
