Q: I’ve tried to submit a comment on DestinyConnect, but it doesn’t show.
 
A: Please remember that you have to be registered as a user and logged in to submit a comment. Once you’ve done so, click on “Privacy Settings” on your dashboard and tick the box that makes your comments public.
 
 
 
Q: How do I log onto Live Chat?
 
A: Once you’ve logged on, go to the DestinyConnect home page. Scroll down to the “Live Chat With Khanyi” block and click on the block. Link: http://www.destinyconnect.com/livechat.aspx
 
 
 
Q: How do I create a blog?
 
A: You need to be a registered user with a complete personal profile to blog. Click on the “My Blog” tab in your dashboard, click on “Manage Your Blog” and then click on “New Post”. Once you’re in, give your blog a title in the “Post Title” bar, select a “Blog Category” and start typing in the text box. Then click on “Submit”. To get back to your dashboard, click “My Dashboard” at the top of the screen.
 
 
 
Q: How do I accept a connection request?
 
A: Once you’ve logged into your personal profile, click on “Connection Requests”. Scroll down to “My network Pending Requests” and click on “Accept Friend”.
 
 
 
Q: How do I re-activate my profile if I’ve deregistered it?
 
A: Contact us on info@destinyconnect.com and we’ll activate it for you.
 
 
 
Q: I’ve forgotten my password…
 
A: When you click on “Log On” on the home page, a grey bar appears below the tab. On the right-hand side of this grey box, you’ll see a block where you can enter the email address with which you registered. Click “Submit” and your Log Ins will be sent to you.
 
 
 
Q: How do I change my password?
 
A: If you have your Log In details after doing the above and wish to change your password, simply log onto your account with the old details, click on “Edit my Personal Profile” under your profile picture and change the details in the form. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save”.
 
 
 
Q: How do I subscribe to the magazine?
 
A: Click on “Subscribe” in the left-hand corner of the home page and fill in the form from there - quick and easy! Alternatively, you can call our subscription centre on tel: 0860 109 504, send us an email to: destiny-subs@media24.com or go to the subscriptions page in your latest issue, fill in the form and fax it to: 021 405 1035.
 
 
 
Q: How do I view my messages?
 
A: When you’re logged in and in your personal profile, you’ll find a box on the right-hand side of the page called “Profile Interaction”. The first link is the “My Messages” link. Click on it and you’ll see a list of messages appear. Click on the message you’d like to view.
 
 
 
Q: If my profile is private and I want to make it public, how do I do it?
 
A: Once you’ve logged on with your user name and password, click on “My Dashboard”. Once you’ve reached your dashboard, click on “Privacy Settings”. Select the settings you’d like to have and click on “Save”. This also applies to receiving notices when anything happens on your profile, ie community notices, event notices, upcoming birthdays, etc. Alternatively, if you want to make your whole profile public and not just certain aspects of it, click on “Edit my Personal Profile” below your profile picture, scroll down to “Privacy: Keep my Profile Private and Only Visible to my Network Members” and un-tick the box.
 
 
 
Q: How do I register on DestinyConnect?
 
A: Click on the “register” button at the top of the page in the black bar. Fill in the quick and easy form and follow the prompts, or click on the Register and Win offer on the home page to stand a chance of winning.
 
 
 
Q: How do I unsubscribe from the “Destiny Weekly” and “Insider” mailers?
 
A: Open the mailer you’ve received, scroll down to the bottom of it and click on the link that allows you to unsubscribe. Then follow the prompts. Alternatively, you can enter the “Edit my Personal Profile” on your dashboard and un-tick the box for mailers.
 
 
 
Q: How do I activate my profile?
 
A: An email will be sent to you from DestinyConnect asking you to activate your profile. Click on the link in the mailer and you’ll be able to view your profile on DestinyConnect. If you don’t receive this mail, please check your junk mail and deleted items, as some servers automatically re-route this mail. If you still haven’t received the mail, mail: info@destinyconnect.com.
 
 
 
Q: How do I submit a Live Chat question?
 
A: Before the Live Chat commences on the given date, you can click on the “Live Chat” box at the bottom of the home page (look for Khanyi’s picture). A screen with a “Submit Your Question” box will appear. Type in your question and click “Submit”.
 
 
 
Q: How do I choose my username?
 
A: If you’re creating a profile, be sure to make your user name simple enough to remember. Once you’ve registered, you can’t change your user name.
 
 
 
Q: If my profile is public and I want to make it private, how do I do it?

Q: How do I upload a picture?
 
A: Once you’ve logged on, click on “Edit Profile” next to where your picture should be, scroll down to the bottom of the page to “Profile Photograph”, click on “Browse” and choose a picture from your computer to upload. Please make sure you rename it to: your name in small caps (example: bob.jpg) - it must not contain any numbers or special characters. Alternatively, click on “My Personal Profile” in your dashboard, then click on “Edit my Personal Profile” below where your profile picture should be, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Then do the same as above. After you’ve uploaded your desired picture, click on “Save” and the picture will appear in your profile picture box.
