Meagan Good has married her pastor beau
DeVon Franklin in an intimate
wedding ceremony which took place over the weekend in Malibu, California.
The
Think Like a Man actress said "I do" to her fiancé of over a year in a purple, gold and white themed wedding ceremony. According to
People magazine, Good walked down the aisle to
These Arms performed by the Craig Lewis Band while dressed in a custom R-Mine gown with a purple dipped train.
Good’s uniquely coloured dress was the result of her own vision of what she wanted her dress to look like.
“I didn’t want girly, I wanted handsome. It’s got a bit of a masculine feel to it. I wanted something that felt a tad bit rebellious and out of the ordinary. That felt closer to my personality.”
R&B singer
Shanice sang
Loving You for the couple’s first dance. The duo have apparently postponed honeymoon plans due to Good’s involvement in the show
Infamous. However, they will be spending some quality time as man and wife in Los Angeles. Good and Franklin previously expressed their devotion to remain celibate until they got married. The two met on the set of
Jumping the Broom last year and began dating shortly thereafter.
Franklin said of their union: “We want our marriage to be one of truth, one of love, and hopefully model God’s love. In reality we’re not perfect. But we are striving to live a life of Christ. We are striving to be an example of what his life looks like on this earth, and hopefully through our union people will be inspired, people will see themselves in us.”
