The announcement was made yesterday at a press conference in Fourways, Johannesburg. “We believe that Melinda is the perfect person to confidently carry forth the fantastic foundation that Cindy has laid and help us show women everywhere that confidence is just a beauty secret away,” said Bevan Lewis, Marketing Manger at Reckitt Benckiser.
Melinda’s other accomplishments include being appointed the National Executive for Miss South Africa Pty Ltd, co-owning a company that focuses on advancing young women, and also launching her own swimwear label, Bamshell.
Veet also launched its Beauty Secrets Campaign, which is designed to share the beauty secrets of the brand advocates to help women feel their best and grow their confidence. Melinda will feature in the upcoming Veet commercials, as well as the Beauty Secrets Campaign.
Veet has also begun the search for the next Miss Veet SA, who will walk away with prizes to the value of R100 000 and a modelling contract to the value of R150 000. Those who would like to enter can do so on www.veetbeauty.co.za, and entries will be open until 25th October 2013.
