Nude, gold and white were the colours of the night at the star-filled Durban-hosted Metro FM awards. TV and radio personalities were decked out to the nines as they walked the black carpet and showed off their outfits.

Presenters Pearl Thusi and Luthando Shosha were both kitted out in black, which was a refreshing change from the abundance of the three hues mentioned above. We do however wish Luthando had ditched the gold belt – this difficult-to-pull-off trend has been heavily abused of late.

The lovely Amanda Du Pont, wore a Tsotesti designer gown which did her no favours this time around. The sequined gold dress did nothing to complement her slight frame. The black, flower-emblazoned dress she later changed into was an edgier and more-fashionable choice for the gorgeous actress.

On- and off-screen beauties Lerato Kganyago, Sinazo Yolwa and Nomuzi Mabena elected to go for gold. The trio’s various interpretations of the metallic shade were fascinating, with Sinazo standing out in her strapless gown.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Mafikizolo’s Nhlanhla Nciza, guest presenter Tamarsha Khanyile and face of Selimathunzi, Zizo Beda. Their white frocks were not at all pleasing to the eye.

Kudos to actresses Boity and Minnie Dlamini who donned a peach-coloured gown and a traditionally inspired ensemble respectively. They were resplendent in their colourful and ultra-sexy outfits that showed off their curves to perfection.
