Florida Mphela, a beauty therapist at Sorbet at the Bryanston Centre, says winter should not be an excuse for “letting your skin go”.
“Winter is not the problem, it’s all about knowing which products to use. Your skin in winter is different from your skin in summer,” she says, explaining that summertime skin is more hydrated, while in winter the harsh temperatures and dry air strip the skin of moisture.
To keep your skin looking great in the coming months, Mphela recommends following a strict skincare regime.
“It’s very important that you cleanse twice a day. In the morning and in the evening, because this will allow the skin to renew itself.”
Top of Mphela’s list is a finding is a hydrating cleanser, exfoliator, moisturising serum plus a night and day dream.
