South African TV and radio personality Pearl Thusi has been putting in hours of hard work.

We reported earlier this year that the actress-presenter had joined the cast of The Blue Mauritius, a film about five international thieves hired by a mysterious Mauritian to steal the most valuable stamps in the world.

Pearl plays the role of Makeda, a sexy gun-toting, motorcycle-riding femme fatale who works for a German art dealer.

Now, we have reason to believe she could be joining the cast of Quantico, a US drama series about young FBI recruits in training to become special agents.

Priyanka Chopra, lead actress in the series, posted an image to her Instagram profile of the cast at dinner together – and pictured at the dinner table is Pearl Thusi.

Pearl’s PR team have kept mum on the news of the actress bagging the role, simply saying that all will be revealed soon.

Pearl co-hosted the first season of Lip Sync Battle Africa alongside D’banj, known for his single Oliver Twist. The show debuted on MTV on Thursday, 14 April.

Among her many gigs, Pearl has played Palesa in Isidingo and has been the host of music show LiveAmp on SABC1 for quite some time.

Apart from her acting career getting a major boost this year, she’s recently been hinting at a possible engagement to rumoured beau Robert Marawa, having posted pictures of an impressive rock on her engagement finger.
