Beauty looks like…Self love. I believe beauty starts within. When you work on the light inside of you, it will always shine on the outside and you will always look beautiful.
Success is…I don’t believe success is a final destination that we will one day reach. You can be successful in the small things you set out to do daily, that way you cultivate successful living. You can work on being successful in your role as a mother, friend, partner etc… It never ends it something you need to keep working on.
How would you describe your style aesthetic
• Bold and minimalistic. I wear a lot of prints but I always keep it clean. I don’t like wearing a lot of accessories.
Where did you get your sense of style?
• My mother.
What accessory can you not do without?
What’s more important – a great bag or a great pair of shoes? Definitely shoes!! A bad pair of shoes ruins a good outfit.

What item of clothing could you not live without? Blue jeans. I wear them all the time.
Is your current career where you always saw yourself? How did you manage to transition into the place where you are now? No, not at all. I studied Bsc Plant Pathology at the University of Pretoria. Half way through I realised that it was not what I wanted to do. Luckily my mother was very supportive, she advised me to take some time out and think about what I really want to do. While I was on my break, I started working at a fashion retailer. That’s when I fell I love with fashion and retail. I learned that there are lots of different career paths I can take in the retail space.
Who or what is your biggest motivator? Women that are doing it all. Mother, wife, friend, career woman etc… I aspire to be that kind of woman. I don’t believe you need to choose one or the other. We can have it all. It’s difficult to balance everything but women that manage to do it motivate me a lot.
What has been the most rewarding experience thus far in your career? Opening new stores for top brands internationally. I love to travel and the best thing about my job is I get to see the world while I do what I love.
If you could choose a celebrity closet to shop in, who’s would it be and why? Solange Knowles. I love her style. She is fearless and wears a lot of bold colours and prints confidently.
How do you balance work and personal life? I literally have to plan and diaries everything. That way I can make time to do all that I need to do. My personal relationships are very dear to me so I make sure I commit and stick to my plans.
