We caught up with local fashion designer Matte Nolim to find out what inspired the collection he recently showcased at AFI Fashion Week.
Nolim says his love for all shades of green and wanting to expand on the “Matte Nolim woman” and how she wants to present herself informed the collection.
Consisting of mini-skirts and high-waisted wide legs, the collection plays on the over-sized concept, as Nolim believes there are ways of making a woman’s body look flattering beyond the usual fitted silhouettes. He strived to create flattering garments, using satin and raincoat fabrics to produce the desired hourglass shape. Have a look at Nolim’s AFI collection below and and see just why the designer is one of our favourites.
