Last night’s Grammy Awards brought the top of the music industry crop out in their evening finest to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments and while many took fashion risks, we loved far too many of this year’s Grammy fashion and beauty looks to not pull out our favourites.
While songstress Ariana Grande may not have attended the Grammy Awards due to conflicts with the producers of the show, she made sure to show off the custom Zac Posen gown made for the occasion on her social media. And how we wish this ice-blue modern Cinderella stunner had walked the red carpet.
Janelle gave new meaning to the term “pinned-up hair” with her Grammy carpet look which included a headpiece and pins attached to her hair, but that wasn’t all we loved, her bold shouldered, two-toned dress for the evening also proved to be an eye-catcher.
Though Cardi B’s Awards shows looks may have gotten mixed reviews, her hair and beauty for the Grammys was inspired and definitely worth talking about. Want to know what to do with your pearls in 2019? Accessorise your hair.
Looking for short and sexy locks? The Cardi worked a short and slick ‘do to accept her Grammy Award for Best Female Rap Album.
Chloe x Halle
Beyoncé’s protégees Chloe and Halle Bailey wore perfectly co-ordinated black-and-white structured ensembles to the awards.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Grownish actress Tracee Ellis Ross wore a striking Ralph & Russo green pantsuit adorned with a serpentine belt that we feel made every best dressed list. We’re also loving the ultra-long cornrowed hair she paired with this ensemble.
Want to jazz up a ponytail in five seconds flat? Take a page out of Jennifer Lopez’s playbook and get your hands on the most luxurious felt hat you can find and walk the red carpet like a glam Western cowboy.
Rise Up singer Andra Day had one of the most daring and playful beauty looks of the evening with her 60s-inspired sparkly eyeshadow and lid-crease as well as large bouffant hair.
Along with her ’60s inspired farebeat, Andra also rocked a flower power manicure and an Austin Powers-esque feathered dress with matching stockings and heels.
Singer Jorja Smith walked the carpet in a stunning gold Balmain number paired with a soft red lip.
E! Red Carpet host Zuri Hall was a vision in a pleated fuchsia number. Head-to-toe, easy perfection was created by continuing the colour palette on both her lids and eyes as her make-up look for the night and leaving her natural hair in effortless curls.
